Mayor Lee Harris’ Summer Work Experience is now accepting applications for Shelby County residents aged 18–24 who have graduated high school. This 8-week paid program offers $15/hour plus a $100 attendance bonus. Participants will gain hands-on work experience and professional development.

Opens: January 5, 2026

Closes: March 2, 2026

Students have to be between 14 and 22 years old while in the program and live in the city of Memphis. The application will be on our website starting January 12th at www.cityofmemphisyouth.org.

When the application period begins on January 12, you may apply on our website at www.cityofmemphisyouth.org. As long as the student lives in the city of Memphis and are between the ages of 14 -22, they may apply.
